Join the Sumilao Farmers this Friday, January 25, 2008

This Friday, January 25, 2008, the Sumilao Farmers will walk from Asilo de San Vicente (in front of Pius XII Center, UN Avenue) to Sta. Isabel at 11 AM.

ETA at Sta. Isabel is at 12 noon.

Everyone who wishes to join the farmers are requested to be at Asilo before 11 AM.

Let’s us continue the walk for land, walk for justice!

Bloggers Kapihan 3.0: Bloggers remember People Power 2

Bloggers and other netizens will mark the seventh anniversary of People Power 2 on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2:00-5:00 pm at Kape Tasyo (Freedom Bar), Anonas, Quezon City.Titled “BK 3.0: Bloggers Remember People Power 2″, the forum brings to a close a week-long Blog Action Week that urged bloggers and other netizens to remember the four-day people’s uprising of 2001.

Over cups of native brewed coffee, street parliamentarian-turned-legislator Satur Ocampo and former student leader Cristina Palabay will lead the Bloggers Kapihan in remembering People Power 2 and assessing the seven years of the Arroyo administration.

Erap’s pardon shows GMA’s continuous betrayal of youth, EDSA Dos

The Kabataan Party today hit the Arroyo government for its continuous betrayal of the Filipino youth and EDSA Dos, saying that the rash granting of pardon to former President Joseph Estrada shows Mrs. Arroyo’s ultimate abandonment of EDSA Dos principles.

“Such developments only show how Mrs. Arroyo continues to betray the youth and the ideals and principles of the people’s uprising that catapulted her to power,” Kabataan Party President Raymond Palatino said.

Bloggers’ Kapihan 2.0: Blog Ed 101

After the resounding success of the first ever Bloggers’ Kapihan 1.0: Blogging Beyond the Basics, the BK crew once again comes around for yet another virtual-becomes-real venture.

The BK Crew presents Bloggers’ Kapihan 2.0: Blog Ed 101. This time around, let us tackle the importance of blogging in learning, learning in blogging and blogging as a tool for alternative education. The event will be held on October 13, 2007, 1:30PM at the Ramon Magsaysay High School in Quezon City.

Blog Ed 101 is in cooperation with the Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT), a nationwide network of educators from different schools, colleges and universities.
